Healthium Medtech, in partnership with Plan International India Chapter, is strengthening access to advanced paediatric orthopaedic care at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida.
Through this CSR initiative, GIMS has been equipped with specialised paediatric orthopaedic surgical systems, including a high-speed electric drill system, paediatric hip plating set, paediatric and small bone drill and saw system, paediatric orthopaedic instrument set and C-Arm machine for surgical imaging. These capabilities will enable the institute to provide precise, safe and age-appropriate surgical care for children with conditions such as clubfoot, developmental dysplasia of the hip, limb deformities, fractures and other complex orthopaedic conditions.
The initiative is expected to benefit more than 1,000 children annually, while reducing the need for families to travel to distant centres for specialised paediatric orthopaedic treatment. By strengthening the capabilities of a government healthcare institution, the programme aims to bring advanced care closer to communities and improve access to timely, specialised treatment for children.
